A chakla and belan cut from solid wood, with a small stand so the belan is not rolling around the counter. The board is polished smooth enough that dough lifts off it cleanly, which is the entire test of a chakla.

Care
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry standing on edge. Oil occasionally with any food-safe wood oil to keep the grain from drying out. Not dishwasher safe, the heat and the standing water are what split wooden boards.
Cut from solid wood in one piece, so there is no glued joint to split later.
Acacia, mango, haldina and sheesham. No veneer, no particle board.
Cut, finished, and on the carved pieces patterned by hand.
Every board carries its own grain. Yours will not match the photograph.
Wash, dry standing on edge, keep it out of the dishwasher.
